Pain's not the wound, but how it burns,
Roots twisting deep inside,
Gnawing, relentless memories,
In the corners of my mind.

In a dimly lit room, I sit alone,
Epictetus whispers through walls of stone,
The surgeon of the mind, I've become,
With wisdom and courage, the healing's begun

I was the scapegoat, cast aside,
In a family gone astray,
Flashbacks haunt the sleepless nights,
With questions in the fray.

Self healing, through wisdom's gate,
No pills, no sessions just a choice I made,
Learning, growing, I understand,
Rational thoughts guiding my hand.

Through Maslow's heights and Jung's dark sea,
Epictetus' wisdom setting me free,
Object Relations and CBT,
Release the chains that imprison me.

Maladaptive patterns I break,
Cognitive paths remake,
With Stoic strength, I clear the fog,
Healing becomes my fate

I dissect my scars with steady hands,
Patterns laid bare to see,
Self-care a sacred ritual,
The mind's anatomy.

Self healing, through wisdom's gate,
No pills, no sessions just a choice I made,
Learning, growing, I understand,
Rational thoughts guiding my hand.

When they speak of my hard journey,
I say, "Fortune's path is clear,"
For I am unscathed,
Facing life without fear.
Hardship visits every soul,
But not all lose control,
Some were harmed, some were chained,
Yet I endured, my strength retained.

Like Levin and Rogozov’s desperate fight,
Surgeons of their own, in darkest night,
I too must face the mirror’s truth,
To carve away the lies of youth.

With thoughts as sharp as surgeons' knives,
I cut through pain to reclaim my life,
Breaking chains of family’s blame,
In psychology’s light, I heal the shame.

Self healing, through wisdom's gate,
No pills, no sessions just a choice I made,
Learning, growing, I understand,
Rational thoughts guiding my hand.
