...we are all one
therefore alone
.…being all one
....we are alone

by misunderstanding
perception creates this
illusion of separateness
simulating the company
of so many fools

to keep the show going on
let’s ignore our true nature
forget we’re only the cosmos
— only the lonely One —
and instead pretend
to be just ourselves
these fictional characters
the cosmos likes to play

so this is now
our cosmic predicament:
that the illusion of separateness
dividing us
is everything

and the truth
of our cosmic unity
means nothing
